MERRICK now offers High Capacity Belt Scales by CST

MERRICKMERRICK Industries is pleased to announce that we have joined forces with Control Systems Technology of Australia (CST) in a collaborative effort to market their belt scale line, including their NTEP Heavyweight Conveyor Belt Scale design in North and South America. CST’s NTEP Certificate of Conformance (C of C) is #02-135 with a maximum certified capacity of 50,000 TPH.

CST has a comprehensive belt scale line concentrating on high accuracy and high flow rates. They find particular acceptance in mining and ship loading facilities as well as the power industry where their NTEP scale permits a higher flow rate than the existing MERRICK NTEP scale. MERRICK does not intend to stop marketing or manufacturing our existing line of single and multi idler modular belt scales; however, we are offering the CST line to customers who require very high capacity, custom-engineered belt weighing solutions. If you have potential customers or projects, CST has offered to provide sales assistance including site visits, if desired. We are hoping that belt scale customers who have not previously considered MERRICK might be willing to consider this line which we are confident is more than a match for any existing product in the market.

CST

Ian Burrell, Owner and Managing Director of CST will be spearheading this effort along with the assistance of our Erik Nolte to establish contact with potential customers and pursue the sale of the scales. CST has been in business since 1984 selling a full line of conveyor belt scales to the Australian and Asian markets. We feel that this collaboration will be a mutually beneficial venture and will provide our customers with a very reliable and accurate scale system.

Collaboration Details:

  • Proven high capacity, high accuracy designs from CST
  • Sales and customer support from both CST and MERRICK
  • Manufactured by MERRICK-Lynn Haven, FL
  • Serviced by MERRICK field service technicians across North and South America

Our first priority is to uncover opportunities to pursue in this market. If you have any projects from either end-users or engineering companies, please let us know. We would appreciate working with you.
