    MERRICK Knife gate valves can be utilized as isolation valves located at the feeder outlet, pulverizer outlet or in the burner line at the furnace face. These valves provide “off-on” control of the material of varying sizes.

FEATURES

  • Laminated mild steel plate insert and bolted / welded construction for greater strength, durability and ease of maintenance
  • 3/4” corrosion-resistant Type 304 stainless steel blade polished to a 2B finish with machined cam guides for smooth operation and positive seal
  • Fiberglass packing with high temperature silicone lubricant for positive pressure seal and operation up to 1000oF
  • Low profile design to minimize wear
  • NFPA 85 (2001 addition) rated (50 psi explosion)
  • Standard flange patterns are per ANSI 125/150
  • Abrasion resistant body
  • Designed for coal dust and fly ash contamination
  • Easy field replacement of packing material
OPTIONS

  • Manual operator (handwheel or pocket sheave and chain), hydraulic, electrical or pneumatic actuator
  • Complete pneumatic or hydraulic packages with limit switches and solenoid valves, piped and wired, ready for customer connection to power and control source
